Palliative Care at Home
in Amersham
At Eden Care, we make the end of life something you can experience with grace and dignity in familiar surroundings. Our caregivers are trained to take care of your physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
Expert Palliative Care Services
As providers of palliative care at home in Amersham we provide respite for families so they can have time to grieve and be with their loved ones. And we do it all with a philosophy that keeps you at the centre of everything we do.
Because you deserve nothing less than the best.
Whether you were recently diagnosed with cancer or Alzheimer’s disease or you have more general health concerns, our team of trained caregivers are ready to help you live as well as possible.
We do not replace your regular doctor or primary care provider; instead, we partner with your providers to ensure you receive the best possible care.
We work with your family and community to ensure you’re getting everything you need from them. Most importantly, we will be there for you every step of the way, no matter what happens in your life.

What is Palliative Care?
At Eden Care, our palliative care patients are not required to be terminally ill, nor do they have to give up on treatment. We can provide palliative care alongside curative or life-prolonging treatments.
It’s about the quality of life and comfort.
Our goal is to help patients make the most of their lives, regardless of whether they have hope for a cure. By providing palliative care for your loved one, we aim to help them live happier, more comfortable lives, no matter what stage their illness has reached.
At Eden Care, our expert palliative care services are available in the comfort of your own home, so you don’t have to leave.

Devoted Dementia Care
Our carers have a friendly, upbeat personality that makes them pleasant to work with. Dementia patients have enough difficulties without having to worry about whether they will enjoy the company of their caregiver.

Committed to Quality of Life
Our caregivers will always treat your loved one with dignity and respect, no matter what kind of situation they might find themselves in. We believe in treating our clients as we would treat our family members.

Specialised Training
We offer specialised training for family members who may be caring for their loved ones with dementia, as well as respite care so all involved parties can take a break and recharge.
Comprehensive Care
Our professional, compassionate and dependable caregivers offer a wide range of services, including companionship, meal preparation, housekeeping, errands, transportation, skilled nursing and specialised dementia care. Our flexible scheduling options include hourly, overnight and 24-hour live-in care.
We are committed to exceeding expectations by customising our services to meet each client’s unique needs.
Eden Care’s team approach ensures all family members are kept informed about their loved one’s well-being. Whether you need us for one hour or 24 hours a day, seven days a week, we are dedicated to ensuring your loved one receives the best possible care.

A Personal Care Plan
We will work with you and your loved ones to develop a personalised plan that meets their needs and wishes. We’ll cover everything from medication management to spiritual considerations so that our care is tailored specifically to the challenges they face.
They must continue to feel in control of their lives and choices even while facing serious illnesses, and we’ll make sure this happens.
Here are some of the ways we can help:
- Making sure you have access to all needed medications, including painkillers and symptom-relieving drugs
- Providing a range of medical equipment, including wheelchairs and hospital beds (if required)
- Helping you plan your future medical treatment
- Working with your family members and other caregivers on what you need and how they can help
- Helping you get insurance coverage for your treatments
- Comfort measures such as oxygen treatment, wound care, and tube feeding
- Personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Help with everyday tasks like shopping, cooking, and cleaning
If you’re unsure about what you need or how we can help, we’ll sit down with you to discuss your loved one’s current situation, needs, and what steps can be taken to ensure they receive the best possible care.
How Fast Can We Arrange Care?
We know that when you need a caregiver, you need one immediately.
We’ll set up a same-day consultation so you can make an informed decision about your care as soon as possible. If you’re in an emergency, we’re available 24/7 to help you with this process.
When you call us, we’ll match you with a carer who will listen to your needs, formulate a customised plan for you, and carry out the plan in your home. We pride ourselves on providing quality care in every facet of our services.

“My father has been a client of Eden Care at Home for over two years now. The company was helpful, friendly and supportive, as we tried to ascertain the care my father would need after an extended stay in hospital.
The carers are caring, kind and professional.
I would, and have, recommend this company to others.”

Once we have established exactly what you want on each visit, we will work to that list. We are not able to give injections or change sterile dressings. Also, we cannot carry out tasks which are likely to cause risk to either the person we provide care to or the carer. Tasks will be agreed with you in advance. Any changes to the plan can be discussed with your assessment manager.

Our experience tells us that people’s care needs may change. We therefore understand that care may need reviewing from time to time. This is why we carry out reviews on a regular basis and why we are pleased to hear from members of the immediate family about effective methods for delivering the care service for their relative.
